LABOR STRIKES AND WORK STOPPAGE OUR LABOR DISPUTE SECURITY PROGRAM HAS FIVE PHASES.
YOU PICK ONLY THE SERVICES YOU NEED.
PHASE 1 – CREATION / REVIEW OF STRIKE CONTINGENCY PLAN:
Phase One is the most important part in planning for a labor dispute. It will facilitate the integration of your operations with security personnel. During Phase One, experienced consultants help your staff prepare a comprehensive strike plan. Everyone will know their role, managing events rather than reacting to them. This plan is customized to fit your particular needs.
PHASE 2 – PRE-STRIKE SECURITY SURVEY:
Through a Security Survey, cost effective recommendations are made that will improve facility security. The Security Survey addresses areas such as lighting, perimeter fencing, gates, drivers and sabotage prevention. When possible, this phase should be executed 30 to 60 days prior to the contract expiration date to allow time to implement the recommendations made.
PHASE 3 – SECURITY OFFICER STANDBY:
Once your security needs are identified, a team is formed and placed on standby for your specific situation. Having a professionally trained team of Labor Security personnel standing by at the start of the dispute can be the difference between failure and success.
PHASE 4 – ONSITE COORDINATION & LOGISTICS SUPPORT:
ISS’s training staff will assist you in coordinating any specific tasks that must be accomplished. This can range from a few simple phone calls to an onsite team to prepare your staff and facility for a possible strike.
PHASE 5 – PRE-STRIKE SECURITY COVERAGE:
Strikes can occur at times other than the actual contract expiration date. A significant vulnerability exists in the period between when employees walk out and security personnel arrive and setup. Pre-Strike Security Coverage fills that void. ISS provides small Security Teams that immediately secure the property until the full security contingency arrives.M
